Beautiful post - and continue to brave...WONDERFUL!

Beautiful post - and continue to bravely explore what is seeking to be spoken through you, even though it is scary!Bethhttp://practicalmysticmusings.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33598850.post-38018679798136980632010-05-24T08:55:36.605-07:002010-05-24T08:55:36.605-07:00Sanity is a highly overrated commodity, I think. ...Sanity is a highly overrated commodity, I think. It's also awfully slippery: Which reality is thee supposed to be in touch with, anyway? Much more important is what it seems thee has already, a trusted community with which thee can test the movement of the Divine in thee.

The fear thee mentions, on the other hand.... I've come to believe that, for whatever inscrutable reasons God has, struggling with fear is an essential component of prophetic witness. "Fear not," says the angel to Mary; and if she has any sense, now she really starts to get scared!

On the other hand, "A gift that is not exercised festers. It becomes a snare and a stumbling block for both the individual and the community."Phil Anthonynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33598850.post-64620987093745573842010-05-20T22:17:18.111-07:002010-05-20T22:17:18.111-07:00Heather: Yes, yes, yes!
Yes, you can be sane! Yes...Heather: Yes, yes, yes!

Yes, you can be sane! Yes, you can talk of it! (Okay, some people will wonder about you, but that's always true of prophetic witnesses.)

Yes, Friends are called to prophetic witness. Thank you for reminding us we are here now, today, looking at what's ahead. Yes, we can and must look back to the past, but we face different circumstances, and so the Spirit will lead us in new ways, if we remain open and turn toward the Inward Light (as Friends have done over and over in the past).

As a fellow meeting clerk, this post resonates with me greatly.
